March 5, 2012 - Government of Alberta Honours Dr. Derek Hassay Service Alberta’s Consumer Services Minister’s Award Recipient

Direct Selling Association; Edmonton, Alberta, Canada —The Direct Sellers Association of Canada (DSA) is pleased to announce that Dr. Derek Hassay, Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business and a champion of the direct selling industry has been named recipient of Service Alberta’s Consumer Services 2011 Minister’s Award….He has championed a number of initiatives over the years, including….partnering with Vector Marketing to create the Selling Smiles 101 program which provides students with experiential learning while encouraging philanthropy. Since it launched, Selling Smiles 101 has raised $150,000.
